Afraid of the darkThis cute story teaches young readers one way to cope with fear of the dark。 I recommend it to parents for reading to or with your little ones。

A terrific tale! Cute illustrations and moving story kept my daughter invested in the outcome。 Thank you to MilliBot for the gift for my daughter!

Not quite as wonderful as its predecessor, Tiny T。 Rex and the Impossible Hug, but still ridiculously adorable。 I liked all of Tiny and Pointy's planning, but felt like I missed a page when their lights didn't work。 I'm assuming they blew a fuse? Still, it's a fun book about friends and facing fears (especially a fear of the dark)。 A good one to pull out for storytimes on night and bedtimes, on camping, on friends, and (of course) on dinosaurs。 Can always use more good dino books, especially rid Not quite as wonderful as its predecessor, Tiny T。 Rex and the Impossible Hug, but still ridiculously adorable。 I liked all of Tiny and Pointy's planning, but felt like I missed a page when their lights didn't work。 I'm assuming they blew a fuse? Tiny R。 Rex and his friend Pointy go camping in the backyard。 Being afraid of the dark they make a hidey place。 Tony's mother told him there is always light, he just has to look for it。 Encouraged by that he tries to find light when it is very dark outside。 This is a wonderful story for children who might fear the dark。 Great illustrations。 Tiny R。 Rex and his friend Pointy go camping in the backyard。 Being afraid of the dark they make a hidey place。 Tony's mother told him there is always light, he just has to look for it。 Encouraged by that he tries to find light when it is very dark outside。 This is a wonderful story for children who might fear the dark。 Great illustrations。 。。。more

For all kids who are afraid of the dark and who are getting ready to go on a camping trip。 This was a sweet, familiar story with the cutest little T-Rex。

Excuse me but Tiny T。 Rex is tooooooooo darn cute! He is making snacks at one point in this book and he is standing on top of a lil wedge of cheese so he can put the bread on the top of his sandwich! Get! Out! Of! Here!!! CUTE! He also states that him and his friends (a stegosaurus and a stuffed bear) are "mighty beasts" and that they shouldn't be scared because "I am a Rex。 Pointy is a Pointy, and Bob is my special squish"! You guys。。。he called his stuffed bear his "special squish"!! Does that Excuse me but Tiny T。 Rex is tooooooooo darn cute! Cute。 I would definitely give this book to older kids dealing with being afraid of the dark。 My toddler is perhaps a little too young for it right now。 Really enjoyed the message in the book though。

Our favorite Tiny T。 Rex is definitely Big Big Hug, but this one is also very cute。 Especially if you have a child who is afraid of the dark, this goes a long way towards showing kids that the things that make nighttime darkness scary are often not that scary at all。 Endearing characters and artwork add to the charm。 Definitely one we'll keep for a long time。 Our favorite Tiny T。 Rex is definitely Big Big Hug, but this one is also very cute。 Especially if you have a child who is afraid of the dark, this goes a long way towards showing kids that the things that make nighttime darkness scary are often not that scary at all。 Endearing characters and artwork add to the charm。 Definitely one we'll keep for a long time。 。。。more

Reflections and lessons learned:We love Tiny, Pointy and Bob - all cuddly friends should be called special squishes! The biggest laugh from this came from the grandpa snore。。。!

This was one of my 2020 Christmas gifts and it is wonderful。 Tiny tree and pointy have a great lesson on not being scared of the dark。 I especially love that Tiny has a stuffed toy named Bob who is his special squish。

Number 2 in the series, this one tackles the fear of the dark the night of a first camp outside。 Another charmer to enable youngsters to face their fears。Highly recommended for toddlers-PreSchool。

Similar to the problems with the Impossible Hug, this second Tiny T Rex story is cuteness overload but the story is confusing and disjointed。 It reads like a draft that was never completely finished and could have been SO much more! Why is T Rex crying on the page after he says he needs a bigger helmet? Why does their plan "not work"? The illustration shows colorful lights all over。 How is that not working? On the next page they are back in the dark, with only eyes showing。 What happened to the Similar to the problems with the Impossible Hug, this second Tiny T Rex story is cuteness overload but the story is confusing and disjointed。 It reads like a draft that was never completely finished and could have been SO much more! Of course, they discover that stars provide light for them - predictable, but I don't have a problem with that。 Like other reviewers, I feel like when I read these T Rex books, my copies must have missing pages。 Such a cute little dinosaur deserves a star or two, but on story alone, this series is disappointingly weak。 。。。more

Oh my goodness Tiny T-Rex and the Very Dark Dark is such a fantastic children’s book!!! Between the beautiful illustrations, the lesson it teaches little ones, and the adorable characters you can’t go wrong with adding this book to your child’s shelf!

Readers first had the chance to meet the determined Tiny T。 Rex and his friend Pointy, in Jonathan Stutzman and Jay Fleck's adorably charming and well-reviewed Tiny T。 Rex and the Impossible Hug。 In Tiny T。 Rex and the Very Dark Dark, the two best friends face some big fears as they prepare to sleep the night in Tiny's backyard。 This latest adventure with Pointy and Tiny opens on the friends sitting outside on sleeping mats with very concerned expressions on their faces。 Pointy, in dinosaur-patt Readers first had the chance to meet the determined Tiny T。 Rex and his friend Pointy, in Jonathan Stutzman and Jay Fleck's adorably charming and well-reviewed Tiny T。 Rex and the Impossible Hug。 In Tiny T。 Rex and the Very Dark Dark, the two best friends face some big fears as they prepare to sleep the night in Tiny's backyard。 This latest adventure with Pointy and Tiny opens on the friends sitting outside on sleeping mats with very concerned expressions on their faces。 Pointy, in dinosaur-patterned footed pajamas, and Tiny, with Bob "his special squish" bear, are preparing for their "first campout in the backyard", but they are both rather nervous as they "have never slept outside before"! While acknowledging that they are "mighty beasts", the two friends note that even great beasts can get scared in the very dark when they don't have "nighty-lights" and "Grumbles and Nom-bies" and "Crawly-creeps" come out! Determined to keep their campout on, Tiny turns to the stalwart determination we saw in Tiny T。 Rex and the Impossible Hug, preparing for ways that he and Pointy can stay safe, hidden, and snug in the very dark。 While not all preparations are complete successes- some scares come in the form of unexpected (but not scary!) "Grumbles and Nom-bies"- Pointy and Tiny do in fact make it outside with a secret plan in place。 The world of Tiny and Pointy is as charming and inviting as ever, with Stutzman's pitch-perfect sweetly funny narration (perfect for reading aloud!) and Fleck's appealingly bright and lovable illustrations sure to engage and tickle readers。 Readers who love merry dinosaur stories and are looking to be charmed even further by the combination cozy sweetness and Tiny T。 Rex, or for those who are looking for 'going to bed' picture books along the lines of Dinosaur vs。 Bedtime, How Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night?, A Bedtime for Bear, Orion and the Dark, or Max at Night, Tiny T。 Rex and the Very Dark Dark is a terrific pick。I received a copy of this title courtesy of Raincoast Books in exchange for an honest review。 All opinions and comments are my own。 。。。more

I love Tiny T。 Rex。 My aunt got me this book for my birthday and today I had Mommy read it to me twice in a row。 Even after she finished it the second time, I took it from her and kept flipping the pages and pointing to the pictures。 Tiny T。 Rex is definitely one of my favorite characters。

Michael Perez

A really adorable look on how two tiny dinosaurs handle camping out in the dark。 I like how the author/illustrator is comfortable letting the pictures speak for themselves at times。 Good use of space and great frantic energy throughout the book。

*Working on becoming a more well-rounded librarian。 Also, when in the children’s department。。。 read children’s books!* Cute。 Enjoyed the art。 Definitely a must-read for future kids。

This one was lacking。 I didn’t love the overly simple language。
